]]>For those of you who don’t know – Mr. Mintz gave a muted, almost unnoticeable compliment to my cheesecake in this week’s Saturday Toronto Star article saying that it was, “… the best cheesecake that [he] ever tasted”. It definitely resonated with me loud and clear.
After getting a call from Zane, I was humbled beyond belief from his compliment that echoed through my head all day (and night). I know it wasn’t much but to me, it was huge. During a time of mourning for him and his family (my condolences) food did what it does best – it brought nourishment and satiety, not only to the stomach, but to the soul as well.
I don’t want to come off as pretentious but merely grateful and excited to be able to share my love (in cheesecake form) with others. It’s a great feeling to make people feel good without even meeting them.
