Welcome

So you’ve heard all the hype and you’ve come to try Toronto’s creamiest, richest, most delicious cheesecakes… You’re a smart cookie.

SWEETMEAT’s mouth-watering recipe is perfect for restaurants, cafes, family occasions, impressing co-workers at office parties, or even (dare I say it) having it all to yourself.

It’s my main priority to make my cakes with the highest quality ingredients, without any preservatives or artificial flavours. Check back often for new featured cakes!

Thanks Corey Mintz!

Much thanks to you, Corey Mintz (even if you don’t ever read this blog). My thanks has been put out there for you to receive in whatever way it finds you…

For those of you who don’t know – Mr. Mintz gave a muted, almost unnoticeable compliment to my cheesecake in this week’s Saturday Toronto Star article saying that it was, “… the best cheesecake that [he] ever tasted”. It definitely resonated with me loud and clear.

After getting a call from Zane, I was humbled beyond belief from his compliment that echoed through my head all day (and night). I know it wasn’t much but to me, it was huge. During a time of mourning for him and his family (my condolences) food did what it does best – it brought nourishment and satiety, not only to the stomach, but to the soul as well.

I don’t want to come off as pretentious but merely grateful and excited to be able to share my love (in cheesecake form) with others. It’s a great feeling to make people feel good without even meeting them.

Lots of love from the ove’,
Catherine
